First, “the drivers” could go no faster than twelve miles per hour (19.2 kph), and later – no faster than twenty (32 kph). Apparently, affected love for fast driving. Dachshund tolls amounted to forty cents a mile, and during the stop was collected one ruble per hour. But the revolution and the ensuing civil war destroyed almost started to bloom was the driving. Somewhere in 1924-1925 XX century limo came to life. On the roads traveled «Renault», because the first company began mass-producing a limousine, was «Renault». Red-green color distinguishes these machines from the rest. Device limousines differs from conventional vehicles: the driver sat separately from passengers – in an open front, and the passengers themselves were sitting in a closed, “Karetnaya” part. This was done in order to not disturb the passengers, as well as for better overview of the street and a driver to communicate with pedestrians and the police. In 1934, when the newly-built GAZ automobile plant began mass production of limousines, limousines become “domestic.” Before the war, the most common limo was “Emka” – GAZ-M1, after the war – GAZ-M20 “Pobeda”.
